My MOST Important Month This Year!

Pillar 2 “I Create MORE Than I Consume” is on. I for one am super excited about it and while working on myself and my business from the perspective of Pillar 1 “Personal Accountability” I have gained some insights that have me HIGHLY MOTIVATED! I am dedicating myself to a conscious creation RESET. Want to join me?

I have spent the last 2 years developing content, systems and process for our new brand The Creator’s Code. My output has been stellar in terms of content creation. BUT I have been out of balance, I have consumed FAR too much time, money, resources in the “Creation” mode and in taking 3 steps back to evaluate, in fact this creation process has actually become more of a CONSUMPTION process. UGGGG, that feels like a kick to the… to the… lets say solar plexus.

What is fascinating to me is the subtle at least to me way that some of my greatest acts of creation of turned into unconscious act of consumption.

So my question to myself is “How the hell did that happen?”

It feels a bit like the story of the frog and the boiling water. If you toss a frog into boiling water it jumps out and saves it life…makes sense BUT if you put a from into nice and comfortable lukewarm water and slowly but surely turn temperature. One or two degrees at a time the frog remains comfortable…after all it is just a small and subtle change and remains in water until it is boiled to death.

So the truth is I have been sitting comfortable in creation mode, which I love and have let myself slip, a couple of degrees at a time into consumption mode. In hindsight I see some of the key decisions and framing that lead to this result…but at the time I was oblivious.

It makes me wonder, how many of you currently have a life area, business, relationship, creative project that started as creation but has slipped into consumption? If you are wondering if this is true ask yourself these questions, I know that they would have helped me to recognize when the “HEAT” was being turned up.

Are you in resistance to…
1. Working on the project
2. Completion
3. Engaging and accepting specific types of support
4. My normal routines
5. Doing that which will have the GREATEST positive impact
Do you have specific results that are normally clockwork that are suffering?
1. Self care routines
2. Financial results
3. Time with family
Are you managing low levels of negative emotions?
1. Frustration
2. Sadness
3. Confusion
4. Disappointment
Are you managing incompletes?
1. Taxes
2. Correspondence
3. House cleaning/maintenance
Relationship strain
1. Not seeing the people you care about most
2. Not being PRESENT with people you love when you a re with them
3. Changes in sexual intimacy
4. Drama with family
5. Undefined distance

The Power of Support

Recently I was reviewing an experience I had of sharing a mastermind weekend with 8 other high level entrepreneurs from all over North America in the mountains of Colorado. It was a phenomenal weekend where I learned (or remembered again) that allowing and accepting support is the most significant key to my growth and evolution.

What is interesting to me is that big picture, I am pretty good, I might even say pretty great, at creating support. In fact, my business is one of those rare business that has such support from past clients that 95% + of all clients are referred and many of our clients actually volunteer their time on course support teams.

What I learned is true for me is that my acceptance of support has been quite narrowly defined, on my terms, and often primarily only related to business, mechanics, and things that are important, yet still somewhat distant from ME.

Support, like everything, has levels of understanding and application. My task is to look more consciously at inviting and allowing support of me, not just business mechanics. The kind of support that feeds my soul, support that is congruent with my highest levels of contribution. What is it that would support me to take my next step in evolution? What type of environments, physical, mental, emotion and spiritual would support me most?

These are fascinating questions to me, and I know that I am not alone. In The Creator’s Code Courses, support, specifically the lack of support in life, is an issue that gets in the way of untold experiences and opportunities. Regardless of your experience of support I will bet that your life, like mine, would benefit dramatically from stepping it up!

So on that note, here are some questions that have assisted me:

How do I define support?
What are my beliefs about support?
What is my experience of asking for support?
What is my experience of allowing support?
What life areas am I great at creating and accepting support?
What life areas do I block or hinder support?
What would increased inviting and allowing of support create?
What areas of life do you require greater support?

On a side note, one of the most entertaining aspects of this insight about support is that for the past 18 months The Creator’s Code has been dedicating the vast majority of its energy to improving customer service and providing powerful long term support for our clients. It never ceases to amaze me that life and business mirror each other.

Focus on the Easy Money

I used to have a bad habit of creating new ways to generate money every month. None of my new offerings had earth-shattering results, but that didn’t stop me from trying to reinvent the wheel. Apparently, I didn’t notice the pattern of working hard for little ROI.

I know many highly creative entrepreneurs who have similar issues. But then there’s the bunch that never tries anything new and they’re overworked and underpaid, too.
In my case, it’s my high-level mastermind programs and private coaching clients.Sometimes it takes a simple question to wake you up and be smart about how you increase your profits. The question that always works for me is, “Where does most of my money come from?” (Make sure you actually look at your bookkeeping reports before you answer.)

Another great question to ask yourself is, “What’s the easiest way I make money?”

Now the obvious way to use this information is to focus your energy on the things that you make the most money in the easiest way. But what if you don’t enjoy the thing that makes you the most money? Or what if it’s not easy to make sales? Or what if it’s not time leveraged?

Ask yourself why it makes you the most money and you’ll have your next step.

My mastermind is great because it’s a one-time sale and but I receive payments from each participant for ten months. I don’t have to sell it over and over again. It also happens to be heavy on coaching which means less intense content creation for me. And coaching is the favorite part of my business.

In my case, I could focus on doing bigger masterminds or offer an additional one each year to generate easy money. Once a year I implement several marketing strategies to get the word out about my masterminds. Some of them are time intensive. And to complicate things, the way I filled my mastermind two years ago is different than what I did last year.

However, when I examine what really made those clients say HELL YES to me, all but one had previous experience with me or we’d had a personal phone conversation. Now I have my strategy theme: offer ways for people to get a personal experience with me.

That brings us to your final questions:

• What’s the easiest marketing strategy for people to fall in love with what I offer?

• How have they fallen for my offerings in the past?

• What feels fun, easy and congruent with my brand and values?

You should have a general roadmap to generate more easy money in your business once you answer these questions. The next step after that is to dive deeper into brainstorming how your marketing can be converted into more sales, using less time.

Don’t forget, this is supposed to be easy and fun. If you’re not inspired then you need to change your strategy.

End of an Era…Beginning of a Movement!

Well tonight we have an auspicious event.

It is the last event in our building in Calgary Alberta.

This building has amazing memories…not just for me but for the thousands of people who had awakenings, transformations and relationships that were created in this space.

It seems quite perfect that we are on Pillar 5 of the Creator’s Code “I live a life of abundance, generosity and celebration” and tonight we get to celebrate the events, experiences and results of the past 20 years. So if you are in the area come by tonight to enjoy some wine, cheese, old friends, new friends and share what YOU created in “the building”.

If you spent time in that building what did you experience?

Found the love of your life
Let go of old limiting beliefs
Met life long friends
Healed old wounds
Learned to own your power
Created a vision for what your life would become

Out of the many life altering experiences for me the top three have to be:

1) Buying the building in 1992 and then having the financing fall apart and spending two years plus, half a step ahead of bankruptcy…now that was a learning experience! I will tell that whole story tonight.

2) Creating my ideal vision of my life that I wrote about years before a place to live and work that fed my soul, supported my lifestyle and was a sanctuary for Cory and I.
3) Bringing Wyatt home…I will never forget that day.

In the last couple of weeks we have been getting a ton of emails and calls asking about what is next for Personal Best as they are not familiar with The Creator’s Code and all that we have been developing.

So here is the “brief” run down of what is coming next.

Personal Best has evolved into “The Creator’s Code” and we are focusing our energy on creating a global movement of conscious creators. Of course we will remain a strong presence in Calgary and Alberta as we always have and in addition we are delivering our programs all over North America and in the next 12 months the world. In the last year we have been delivering programs and content in Chicago, Orlando, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and of course here is Alberta, this is simply the natural evolution of our business shifting from a regional company to a global company.

It does mean that the seminars will not be held as regularly in Alberta as they used to be however there will be even MORE of a face to face on the ground presence with Creation Circles. Creation Circles are professional lead personal development/mastermind/support groups that focus on living and applying the 12 pillars of The Creator’s Code.

Our primary business in the next 5 years is training and supporting existing coaches and trainers to become Creation Circle Leaders and supporting people face to face in their communities to live the pillars.

In addition we designed an amazing amount of online content and support that extends and expands our reach significantly.
