Experts Academy May 2012, Inspired, Frustrated and Ready to Get to WORK!

I had a fantastic time at Brendon Burchard’s Experts Academy.  Simply put it was the largest, best run, best content program I have ever attended.  Other than his inappropriate touching of my friend and associate Amy, everything was exceptional!

I would describe my experience in general like this.  Brendon had a VERY pointy 200 foot stick that he repeatedly poked me with over and over and over again.  Yes the pokes hurt, primarily and most significantly on the topic of “strategic integration” much of what he said and taught I too  have taught in my classrooms  primarily based on my own in person seminar business and supporting others with their in person training and coaching business. Where I have missed the boat in a huge way is the “strategic integration” of my online component of my business. in that area of my business all I could say over and over again was “rhymes with truck” and OUCH, quit poking me!! Well…poke me a little more please, clearly I have MUCH more to learn.

So I will share the major take aways as a way to contribute and a way to remind myself and anchor the core lessons.

  1. The Creator’s Code is no longer a regional business it is a GLOBAL movement, so we must reach people where they are at!  That means developing and focusing on ONLINE TRAINING programs! NOTE: This is a significant and huge opportunity for EVERYONE who has a message to share!
  2. Technology has accelerated so much that what I once paid $10,000 for and took forever is now a 10 min process with software that costs $100 a month!  What this means to you is that is has NEVER been easier to build a global online business than it is today.
  3. With all the content I have I could spend the next 3 years getting it into online format and not even scratch the surface.  This is where 25 years of creating content is an advantage, but lets be clear you do not need a ton of content, you simply need something that you are great at that you can share with the world.
  4. Online content CAN BE/ IS a compliment to the in person transformational experience, no need to worry about overlap of concepts.  Give them the idea and concept, satisfy their head in the comfort of their home, give them the transformation, heart in a live event and each compliments the other.  Simply put if you have a sold online business, you can have a solid offline business and vice versa, is is NOT one or the other.
  5. The structure and strategy of a great educational series is actually quite simple and straight forward, and my business is perfectly positioned to utilize the model.  I believe it will make a MUCH larger value contribution to the planet and catapult The Creator’s Code into a global movement quickly!

So I have been doing my best to apply the core concepts of global video marketing and have created my first video education funnel, aimed at coaches and facilitators, but it really does apply to ALL educators, experts and support professionals.  It is very much a work in progress but it will give you a great idea of what I learned at Experts Academy and will teach you a ton about what it takes to build a kick ass coaching and training business.

Should You Be Building a Tribe Instead of a List?

A list is good, but I believe a tribe is even better which is why

I am thrilled to announce… A New Business Development Program from The Creator’s Code:

Tribe Development

One of the most essential habits that I’ve developed over the years, in my own personal development and success, has been accepting and giving SUPPORT.

More specifically, it has been in a group setting where I’ve surrounded myself with my tribe; and, no I’m not talking about walking around the beach starving and wearing coloured bandanas like on Survivor. To put it simply, I surround myself with other elite and brave creators and we help each other succeed in ways that are just not possible on our own.

Picture this – you, me, and some of the bravest and smartest creators together in an intimate and game-changing group, I lovingly call a Creation Circle.

This Creation Circle that I am leading is for creators who have delved into learning a skill within the personal development field – this includes life coaching, NLP, hypnotherapy, reiki, belief repatterning, personal training, there are so many examples! Is this you?
If so, why are you doing it? I am certain it’s because you love it and you like how providing your service makes you feel and you want to do it more – hell, I’m sure you want to do it so successfully that you are able to do what you love INSTEAD of working a 9 – 5.

If this is true for you, then you can’t afford not to join me.

So go on, grab yourself 1 of 12 seats by applying here HERE for this one-time opportunity. When you sign up for the program, you will also receive $thousands of dollars worth of bonuses!

This program begins on the Weekend of April 20 – 22 and the first Creation Circle meeting will be held in May.

Sincerely,
Jay

The 12 Pillars

The 12 Pillars are what make up the foundation of the Creator’s Code. Below is a brief description of each pillar.

Pillar 1:

“I embrace personal accountability.”

Hug it out. Oh, wait, not THAT kind of embrace..

How are you being accountable today? What does personal accountability mean to you?

Pillar 2:

“I create more than I consume” The second pillar isn’t about a question of whether or not you consume. It’s not that black and white. We all consume… but at what level? Do you create more than you consume?

This pillar is about going back to what you are fundamentally made to do – CREATE!

In your relationships, work, family, home, which do you do more of – create or consume?

Pillar 3:

“I know this relationship is not going to last, but it’s better than being alone…”

“This job is wearing me out…”

“I know that eating this food is bad for me, but I have so much going on in my life right now. I’ll start eating better next week.”

Do any of these sound familiar? These are just a few examples of behaviors that we, as human beings, all have – the ones that are NOT sustainable.

Today’s pillar is about making choices:

“I support sustainability and vote consistently with all my resources.”

Are the choices that you make in your daily life sustainable?
– In giving and receiving in relationships
– What you do for a living
– How you choose to take care of yourself
– Your carbon footprint on the planet
– etc..

Pillar 4:

How many minutes a day are you spending on what your passionate about and gifted at? A lot of people will segregate these things from their daily life.

“I work 8-10 hours a day, spend a few hours with my family, and then if I have time and I’m not too tired I’ll work on what I love.”

Does that sound like you?

Does that sound right to you?

Today’s pillar is about creating a life that allows you to spend the majority of your time and resources on the things that matter most to you.

“I align my life and resources around my passion and gifts.”

Pillar 5:

Today’s pillar introduces the building blocks of the Creator’s Code. When you allow yourself to have these 3 positive emotions, you create a state of high vibration, allowing for creation in your life.

“I live a life of abundance, generosity, and celebration.”

How do you give? How do you nurture and honour what is? Where do you allow for these 3 positive emotions – abundance, generosity, and celebration – and where is it blocked?

Pillar 6

Today’s pillar is about claiming the space of a creator by surrendering to and honouring ‘what is.’ We live in a Universe where we can create anything we want, but often that gets confused with control. No matter how hard you try, there are a lot of things that you can’t control which can leave you feeling powerless. Here’s the good news, you DO control 3 things and with these you create your experiences and results. They are:

– Beliefs
– Behaviours
– Attitude

“I am the source and cause of my experiences and results.”

Can you maintain your state when people and things around you are stressed and crazy?

Pillar 7

As human beings we all have needs – security, esteem, connection, love, support, etc… (ref: Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs). When these needs are not being met and we become deficient we default to some pretty silly behaviours. Like buying a shirt to fill a God-sized hole.

Whether it’s a new shirt or whiter teeth, nicer car, bigger house… we create stories of what we need to qualify to allow for our needs to be met. We fill our context and consume our bandwidth with these ‘things’ leaving no energy and no time to create.

Today’s pillar is about ensuring that our core needs are met.

“I accept and understand my needs and get them met so I create from a clear and clean space.”

Are you aware of needs that you have that are NOT being met?

Pillar 8

Today’s pillar is about the continuous learning around self-awareness, human happiness, and success. We do NOT need to start this learning from the beginning! We can evolve at a faster rate by learning FROM others. Then we can pay it forward by passing on this knowledge TO others.

I am forever engaged in the teaching and learning of life. I do not do my learning just for me but for all of humanity. It is my responsibility to pass it on to to my friends, family, community, and the world.

“I am an active learner and teacher, I pass on my knowledge.”

What am I engaged in now to further my learning?

How do I share my experiences and what I’ve learned with others?

Pillar 9

You know the planet is shifting when one of the biggest buzz words of the year is ‘Gratitude.’ Today’s pillar is about this fundamental grounding which keeps us from looking for ‘what’s next.’ It keeps us from being victimized and entitled. Gratitude is a state that allows the Universe to conspire for us in a positive and forward manner.

“I am grateful for who I am and what I have. I know the experience of gratitude is the space of creation.”

Who or what are you grateful for today?

Pillar 10

“I have a spiritual practice.”

This is a tough pillar to explain because at some point in our lives we have skewed the line between religion and spirituality and religion tends to be a heated topic.

So let’s start by clearing this up. It doesn’t matter if you are muslim, christian, nudist, buddhist, atheist… wait, did I just type nudist? Oops! Well, I guess that works too. My point isthis pillar is not about what you believe in but about practicing and living in alignment with the tenants of your spiritual and religious beliefs.

Whether we practice through prayer, meditation, church, yoga, or walking around with no clothes on.. the important part is that you do it. Why? It helps us to contextualize the low-level dramas that we all experience in life. It helps us to see that we are not alone and that we are interconnected with all other beings.

We acknowledge that we are more than just flesh and bones (perhaps the nudist disagree, but that’s okay too). We choose to believe there is something else because, whether there is or not, it makes us better people.

Are you making space in your day for spiritual practice?

Pillar 11

If you don’t take care of your body, where will your soul live?

Today’s pillar is all about our physical well-being. Some may say that this is driven by superficial motivations (like wanting to look HOT), but it’s really not – that’s just a bonus 😉 This is about taking care of the vessel that holds your soul and strengthening one of your most powerful tools for creation. The stronger and more able that you are, the broader range of creation you have.

And let’s be honest, when health is an issue how focused are you on creating? Not ‘feeling well’ consumes a LOT of energy and resources.

“I nurture and care for my body and health, I know it’s one of my most powerful tools for creations.”

Are you committed to proactively taking care of your health?

What do you DAILY to ensure that your health is a priority?

Pillar 12

Today, we expand on pillar 4 which is about aligning your resources with your gifts and passion. If you are not spending at LEAST 80% of your time and energy on things that you love and enjoy, you’re overall experience will be that of unhappiness.

Easier said than done, right? So, how do you do this?

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

“I understand and support Entrepreneurship, either as one myself, or I work for one that I believe in.”

It is no coincidence that organizations, like Kiva and Opportunity International, have created entire charities around supporting small business around the world. Entrepreneurship is what’s bringing people out of poverty.

The power of the ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit’ reaches all of us – whether we are fighting our way out of poverty or fighting our way to a more meaningful life.

Harnessing the ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit’ is about creating your way consciously in a meaningful manner that contributes to your family, your community, and the world.
