Tele Summits are DEAD!

If you have been following me or have been a client of mine in the online business building domain you know that I have been a proponent of tele summits since choosing to run my first summit last summer. Check it out here.

That was so cool that I recently co produced another summit with my friend Ronnie Tsunami “The Success Tsunami Summit” which was frankly a kick ass event!
That said, we all know that in the world of online marketing EVERYTHING changes and FAST!
So here is a secret, in the conversations in industry retreats, high end mastermind groups and paid access discussion groups experts are questioning should we still do tele summits? what has happened to conversions? Is it really worth it?  Here is the amazing thing these conversations are between people who have built million dollar businesses using tele summits as a key part of their strategies!
So what is happening?
  1. There is an explosion of tele summits, as you are reading this I will wager that there are no less than 100 – 300 tele summits that you could be listening to RIGHT NOW!
  2. Many tele summit hosts are not keeping up with the trends of what creates options and engagement (Hint: less is more!)
  3. Many of the new “guests/experts” are fantastic SME’s (subject matter experts) BUT they have not been trained in online conversion, they have not adopted the tools and resources that are necessary to test, track and convert attendees into clients.
All of this combined has shifted tele summits (for both hosts and guests) from easy picking low hanging fruit into  a competitive, complex and competitive process.
So yes, the low hanging fruit, the super easy list building and cash creation is dead…sorry to say it but it is true.
This brings us to the big question, is it still a reasonable tool to build your list, create some cash and credibility in your niche??
Well that depends.
Are you willing to do the work?  To invest time, energy and money to refine and create the unique  differences, the automated processes and strategies for successful summit?
If yes then here are the top 5 refinements that are REQUIRED for your summit to have a serious shot at success.
Top 5 Strategies for A Successful Summit
  1. A well defined and UNIQUE niche with a DEFINED NEED!
    1. Who are your guests? What is their problem or issue that they NEED solved and they are willing to invest to do so. Time energy and money!
  2. Guests who deliver!
    1. opt ins (thru physical opt ins OR credibility)
    2. fantastic content/interview
    3. Depending on your structure has a fantastic value proposition for listeners to act upon, product, service or experience to sell (they convert on the call!)
    4. Great online transparent systems and consistent payments
    5. Listen to EVERY GUESTS previous interviews BEFORE booking them
    6. Test their opt in pages, their sales pages and affiliate link 10 – 14 days prior to their interview
    7. Ensure their back end offer is in alignment with your niche and need
  3. Engagement before, during and after the summit
    1.  think preview calls,
    2. Facebook page,
    3. free tid bits
    4. feature promotions of the individual speakers pre and post summit
  4. Compelling and powerful upgrade packages and sales tools
    1. How are the upgrade packages structured
    2. How do they solve the problem of your attendees
    3. What are the price points? (a few premium sales can make the entire process immediately profitable!)
  5. Powerful questions, great rapport and a present host/interviewer who has done their homework
    1. Does the interviewer really get and understand the value that the guest brings? Do they give their personal experience and endorsement to the offer?
These 5 strategies will help to ensure that your summit knocks it out of the park, but there are literally another 100 details that MUST be in place for you to do well with your summit, but let me assure you of a couple of things.

Astrid had just completed my book “Reframe Your Blame, How To Be Personally Accountable” again, I love how she is committed to revisiting tools to apply to her life as situations and circumstances change! This time however she was kind enough to share the outcome of the book, here is her mission statement now taped to the bathroom mirror.

I wanted to share this with you for 3 reasons:

What Happens in The Gift?

You KNOW You Want To!

Lately I have been really thinking deeply about how to better communicate the value of The Gift.  It is one of the most personal and intimate experiences in the universe, the exploration of us as individual physical, mental, emotional and spiritual awareness and evolution.

So to help communicate the breadth and depth of the process i decided to use the notes of thanks and gratitude to begin to explore what people create by participating in The Gift.
There are a multitude of specific results that graduates have created from saving marriages, to selling everything buying a sailboat and traveling the world, to making millions, to coming “out” to family and friends, launching businesses, starting bands…you name it.  the specific stories are powerful and inspiring.

There is a golden thread that runs through all of the stories and the work that The Creator’s Code does.  This golden thread is speaks to the very core of what it means to be a human being.
This thread is made up of a multitude of finer strands each woven together leads to 3 key ways of BEING.

The first is an ongoing process of discovery and (re)claiming of self
The second is the courage to risk, that which once stops people not longer does
The third is greater presence and engagement in life instead of going 60 or 80% of capacity grads dedicate themselves to Consciously CREATE!!
In short:

Claim
Courage
Create

Here is an example.

A few years ago, a man came into The Gift with a significant to sever stutter.
Imagine this as a difficulty in your life, there more stressed you get, the more important it is to communicate…the more difficult it becomes.  At times to the point of not possible.

To aggravate the situation further imagine the frustration of KNOWING that there are times that you do not stutter at all. times when you can speak fluently and eloquently with ease….just not now.

For context it is important to note that one of the GREATEST fears that human beings have is public speaking, consider how that would be magnified if you had a sever stutter.

In The Gift Don threw himself into the process, participated in everything with energy and dedication, in so doing he discovered and claimed parts of himself that had laid dormant for years, the power of play, his sense of humor and how much he deeply cared for people.

Through this process, magic happened his willingness to risk grew exponentially he developed COURAGE, his attachment and concern to others judgments, his fear of failure diminished to the degree that he spoke in front of the large group multiple times  and at times had great difficulty communicating what he wanted to say…yet he stood clear grounded and powerful in his intention to communicate who he is and what is most important to him.  He was a powerful role model and leader in his course.

This is note that Don sent me recently, it brought a smile to my face. I remembered vividly him standing up in front of 50 people struggling to make himself heard.

 

“Hi Jay, it has been awhile since I chatted with you. This morning when I was speaking in Toastmasters Club, I was thinking that my life has changed since the Personal Best program. The journey since then has been incredible. I have just qualified for the Triple Crown award for this year. I have competed in 2 speech contests, and have won all the way to the division level. I am preparing for the speech contest again in March. I have been so blessed to have you and another mentor/coach.”

Now I can see him clearly in front of a room presenting at toastmasters.  Clearly claiming his power, being courageous and creating the life he desires and deserves.

Don I am proud of you and happy for you!

Are You Creating More Than You Consume?

Our focus on taking care of our finances and entrepreneurship (Pillar 12) continues!
Yesterday the Millionaire Makeover with Loral Langemeier was outstanding! For me there
were many takeaways that were simple…yet I forget, thanks Loral for the powerful reminders!
  1. Do not let myself get sucked into the details of life, cooking. cleaning, maintenance, these activities COST ME MONEY, growth for my business becomes a time issue, protect my time to CREATE with vigilance!  NOTE: I really do love cutting the lawn, I will keep that one ; )
  2. Focus on the quality of my Joint Venture partners, there are literally hundreds of people who I like, who can create GREAT value for my clients 
  3. and tribe, BUT not all of them are really READY as one of my partners posted a few days ago “what if the big fish came looking for you, while you were busy fishing for minnows?” Thanks Lisa Cherny (who is one of the amazing guests on the Success Tsunami Summit that starts on Monday check her out!
  4. The power of a small sale.  There is so much more to say about this but
    uffice it to say as part of a larger well designed system, small sales can ROCK!
  5. Loral took an Idea that I have been passionate about for many years RGA’s Revenue Generating Activities and called them Revenue Generating DAYS!  That may not seem like much to you but it is a SIGNIFICANT contextual shift for me!
Other fantastic news about the event is that Loral has decided to run her course “3 Days to Cash” here in Alberta, which is outstanding, no travel to attend it is May 1 – 3 and it is outstanding, if you can’t tell I am more than a little thrilled to be joint venturing with Loral and her organization.
I also want to apologize for the funky google hangout, we had SEVERAL issues which I will not bore you with the details.
BUT
There is an excellent upside to tech troubles Loral has agreed to honor the in room special price  of $750 per person AND you can bring a teen with you for that price  which is like $375 per person!! If you even remotely do the work in the weekend you will far exceed your investment!

A Month of Conscious Creation!

I am really excited about February as I have collected a group of amazing people, experiences and offers that I believe will have HUGE contribution to you, your life and you capacity to CREATE!

 

As we all know I create more than I consume is a huge topic that applies to energy, relationships, love, money, value…quite literally EVERYTHING, it is a way of being and an approach to life.

This month we are going to focus on a particular aspect of creation and that is financial, entrepreneurship and wealth.  We are going to focus on this from the perspective of sustainability, right livelihood, living within our means and of course win/win.

There are many reason for this the primary reason is that this is my exclusive focus for  the month of February. The past couple of years I have been dedicated to recreating my business and structuring it to be more online friendly, what I have come to call “From Bricks and Mortar to Clicks for Cash”  it has been an amazing process that has given birth to a learning curve that has been unbelievably steep and product and content development that I am truly thrilled about and proud of.  That said for me to LIVE pillar 2 it is time to STOP developing and refining and dedicate myself to the execution and monetization of the new structure.

As I was preparing for this process it occurred to me that this process I am dedicated to is probably something that MANY people in The Creator’s Code Community could benefit from.  With that in mind we have put together a series of events, presentations and JV faculty that I have personally worked with and continue to do so that I believe will truly support you to CREATE MORE THAN YOU CONSUME!

The latest stats for North America is that the average person is spending 110% of their income!  This speaks to the core of the unsustainable consumption that we have become accustomed to…or more honestly conditioned to.

So if we are to really want to live pillar 2 we MUST create more than we consume in the area of money and finances.  With that in mind we have collected an OUTSTANDING line up to support you.
