I USED TO THINK I COULD DO IT ALL ON MY OWN!

There’s a part of me that still likes to think I can, but the reality of the situation and the reality of success is that it doesn’t happen on your own.

You see, I’m a perfectionist and I like to think that I can do everything best.

There’s a part of me that would rather do things myself because I know they will be done properly and up to my standards, BUT if I work to do everything myself, nothing meaningful will get accomplished.

I used to strive for perfection in everything and wouldn’t LAUNCH anything until I felt it was perfect. One of the best examples of this is my VIDEOS that I post.

When I first started doing videos it would take me OVER AN HOUR to create a 5 minute video.

NOW it takes me 5 minutes to make a 5 minute video because I stopped giving a shit about being perfect.

Also, when I first started in my business I thought I could figure it out on my own and I spent a WHOLE FUCKING YEAR floundering, not making any money, and not making much of an impact.

Then it FINALLY hit me in the face that in order to reach the level of success that I wanted I needed to surround myself with support and mentors; I needed to be okay with delegating things to other people; And I needed to be open to learning from other people who already had things figured out!

Around the time I was getting this slap in the face I met a man who started calling me “Mini-me” because I reminded him of himself when he was my age.

He was running an extremely successful company in the same industry I was in and he took me under his wing and has been supporting and guiding me for the past 3 years.

When I was open and listened to what he said, I made lots of money and made a huge impact in the world.

When I closed off and started wanting to do it my way, avoiding his advice, I lost lots of money, and areas of my life fell apart.

What’s the lesson? Quit trying to do shit on your own and work with other people who have been there and done that.

Now this man and I have created a great relationship and I am able to share his value with all the people in my life.
